I will overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Former two time unified boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really proceeding.
